What Actually Helps Loose or Sagging Under-Eye Skin

As an example, a client came in describing her under-eye skin as “chicken skin,” her own word for the textured, bumpy quality she’d noticed for years alongside visible excess and laxity. Where it falls short: the tightening effect is modest compared to what Plexr or NeoGen can achieve, it requires ongoing maintenance to sustain, and it isn’t a fit for more significant laxity. There’s also a real, specific risk of overfilling. The under-eye area is particularly sensitive to volume overload, a pattern well-documented in the medical literature as “Facial Overfilled Syndrome.” Skin that’s already aging can struggle to recover its elasticity once that excess volume is eventually removed or breaks down. In practice, we generally see roughly 30% improvement in excess tissue with each Plexr treatment. How many sessions you need depends largely on how much excess or laxity you’re starting with — some see the results they want after just 1 treatment, while more noticeable laxity often needs 2 to 3.
That general improvement pattern applies mainly to the upper eyelid, where the skin is thicker.
