Non-ablative (no down-time) Plexr treatments support skin renewal through controlled plasma energy, improving tone, texture, and overall skin quality with little to no downtime. These treatments can soften fine lines, refine pores, and stimulate collagen and elastin production, helping the skin appear smoother, firmer, and more radiant over time.

This kind of support often becomes especially relevant during perimenopause and menopause, when declining estrogen accelerates collagen loss and leaves skin thinner, drier, and less resilient than it used to be.

Understanding Your Skin Renewal Options

At Gia Sena, non-ablative Plexr treatments are designed as a progressive approach to skin renewal, allowing you to choose the approach that feels right for your skin and your goals.

Options range from foundational treatments (commonly known as Plexr Shower) to more advanced protocols like Rockstar Resurfacing and Glass Lift, which build on that base with additional stimulation and targeted actives.

These treatments are non-invasive, require little to no downtime, and are suitable for a wide range of skin types and ages. Plexr is a globally recognized medical device, used for over a decade and approved by Health Canada for professional use.

Q&A: What is non-ablative Plexr and how does it work?

Non-ablative Plexr uses controlled plasma energy to stimulate collagen and elastin production while keeping the outer layer of skin intact. This allows for gradual skin renewal, improving tone, texture, and overall skin quality without the downtime associated with more aggressive treatments.

Plexr Shower

Gentle, effective non-ablative plasma skin rejuvenation

Plexr Shower uses plasma to deliver controlled energy across the skin, activating key regenerative processes that enhance resilience, elasticity, and overall skin quality over time.

As the skin rebuilds, it appears smoother, firmer, and more refreshed. Non-invasive, with little to no downtime, it’s an ideal foundational approach to skin renewal.

Key Benefits of Plexr Shower

  • Stimulates collagen and elastin production to improve firmness and elasticity — a subtle tightening and lifting effect.
  • Minimizes the appearance of pores and refines overall texture.
  • Softens fine lines and early signs of aging
  • Helps strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, leaving skin smoother, brighter, more resilient, and better able to retain hydration.
  • Creates microscopic nano-channels, improving the absorption of post-treatment products such as topical exosomes and PDRN.
  • Exfoliates while providing mild antibacterial effects that can benefit congested or acne-prone skin.

Rockstar & Glass Lift

(Coming Soon)

Rockstar Resurfacing and Glass Lift build on the Plexr Shower treatment by incorporating targeted actives and biostimulants to enhance hydration, collagen stimulation, and overall skin performance.

These treatments are designed for those looking for a more refined or enhanced result, with added layers that support deeper renewal, improved texture, and a more refined finish.

Rockstar Resurfacing

(Coming Soon)

The Rockstar Resurfacing Facial builds on Plexr Shower by incorporating medical aesthetic biostimulants such as hyaluronic acid and amino acids.

This enhances hydration, supports collagen activity, and improves overall skin texture, creating a more noticeable rejuvenation effect while still maintaining minimal downtime.

Glass Lift

(Coming Soon)

The Glass Lift takes it one step further by combining Plexr Shower technology with topical botulinum and advanced biostimulants.

This combination helps create a visibly smoother, more refined “glass skin” appearance, with enhanced luminosity and a subtle lifting effect.

Full results develop over the following weeks, making it a strong option for those wanting a more polished, event-ready finish.

These treatments can be performed as standalone options or layered over time, depending on your skin goals.

Q&A: Who is non-ablative Plexr best suited for?

Non-ablative Plexr is ideal for those looking to improve signs of skin dullness, fine lines, and mild laxity—without interrupting daily life. Most of my clients are in their mid-40s and beyond, when skin often begins to change during perimenopause and menopause. I find Plexr Shower is an excellent foundational treatment and, when performed as a series, an effective maintenance approach to support long-term skin strength, resilience, collagen density, and a healthy glow.

Treatment Overview & Maintenance

Maintaining Long-Term Skin Health with Non-Ablative Plexr Treatments

All non-ablative Plexr skin renewal treatments are designed to improve skin quality and texture, with a similar overall treatment experience.

Target Areas: Face and neck
Duration: 45–60 minutes
Downtime: None (skin may appear slightly warm immediately after treatment)
Sessions: 1–3 initial treatments, with maintenance as desired
Discomfort Level: Minimal to none

For ongoing skin renewal, treatments can be performed at intervals based on your skin goals. Typical maintenance guidelines:

Ages 25–30: Every 4–6 months
Ages 35–50: Every 3–6 months
Ages 50+: Every 2–3 months

The shift toward more frequent maintenance in the 35–50 and 50+ brackets isn’t arbitrary — it reflects how much skin can change during menopause and perimenopause, when accelerated collagen decline means skin generally needs more consistent support to maintain the same results.
